As of 6:00 a.m. this morning, the New York State Department of Transportation closed Route 59 in West Nyack in both directions by the Palisades Center Mall, including the fly-over bridge.

The closure is due to localized flooding after the approximately two inches of rain received in Clarkstown overnight.

The Clarkstown Police Department Emergency management team shares that the closure of Route 59 is likely to last all day and is likely to impact the Monday morning commute as well.
