UPDATE: House Fire on Stonehurst Court Results in Fatality

Update: 1:13 p.m.

Hours after the fire began, smoke continues to smolder, spreading throughout the region after the tragic house fire in Pomona this morning. Streets remain closed in the vicinity of the housefire as well. 

Update: 12:52 p.m.

Emergency personnel reported that, tragically, they made the discovery that one person died in this morning's house fire. 

Homes in the neighborhood had their utilities and gas shut off while the fire was ongoing.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.

UPDATE: 11:14 a.m.

Seven fire departments were dispatched, providing mutual aid in battling this morning's house fire on Stonehurst Court.

Smoke and the odor of the fire are drifting throughout Pomona and other neighborhoods.

Numerous fire departments are battling a fire that has decimated a home on Stonehurst Court in Pomona. 

The fire was reported at 9:30 this morning.  Pomona Road is closed near Camp Hill Road due to ongoing emergency personnel at the scene.
