TSA Makes It Easier for PreCheck Parents to Get Teens to Fall in Line

by M.C. Millman
TSA PreCheck now allows all children under eighteen to accompany their parent or guardian through the faster PreCheck line at no extra charge.
This new rule is welcome to PreCheck parents of children aged thirteen-seventeen, as previously, only children under twelve were allowed to accompany parents through the PreCheck line.
Those with PreCheck don’t need to remove liquids and large electronics from their bags. They can also keep on their shoes and light jackets and shoes. Most PreCheck passengers wait less than five minutes at the security checkpoint after paying $78 for a five-year membership which can be obtained here.
To facilitate the process, travelers need to enter their PreCheck member number when making a reservation. The number can also be added at check-in.
