Today - Monsey Swabbing Drive to Save Young Father

by Rockland Daily Staff

A swabbing drive coordinated by the legendary Ezer Mizion organization in conjunction with Beis Medrash Ohr Chaim in Forshay will take place at 18 Forshay today until 2 p.m. and again tonight from 6:00-9:00 as the search continues for the right shaliach who will be the match to save Murray Foltyn's life.

Hundreds of eager volunteers have already been swabbed in order to help the choleh, a young father of two who is in need of a bone marrow transplant and is seeking a rare blood match to save his life.

A notice published by the organizations explained that "anyone between 18 and 45 years of age who has never been tested has the potential to be a match for this patient. Once entered into the database of Ezer Mizion and later found to be match, you will be called upon to help save a life."

"A moment of your time can add years to a fellow Yid's life," the notice reads.
