by Rockland Daily Staff

A pair of thieves broke into a vehicle parked in front of Congregation Yetev Lev D'Satmar on Rodney Street in Williamsburg at 5:30 p.m. Thursday evening and made off with approximately twenty thousand dollars worth of jewelry.

The New York Police Department and Williamsburg Shomrim are searching for the two thieves who smashed the rear window on the driver's side of the 2021 grey Toyota, grabbed the suitcase in the car, and fled the scene.

The forty-year-old owner of the vehicle and the missing $20,000 in jewelry is a Monsey resident.
