Storm to Hit Area This Afternoon

The National Weather Service has issued a severe weather warning for the Rockland area this afternoon. 

Showers and thunderstorms will move into the area in the afternoon— a departure from the warm, balmy weather that we’ve enjoyed throughout the day. 

Thunderstorms will be severe at times, between the hours of 3:00-8:00, as the storm moves through. 

While rbis is part of a larger storm that will be affecting the entire tri-state area, Rockland County will experience severe thunderstorms, which may knock out power as people are making their final Yom Tov preparations. 

The direction of the storm will be east to west.
