Travelers between Brooklyn and Montreal will be able to
avail themselves of a sukkah at a popular rest area on their route due to the
work of askonim.
Rabbi Berish Freilich, prominent askan and clergy chaplain
to the New York State Police, told Rockland Daily that the New York State
Department of Transportation has approved the building of a sukkah at the
Clifton Park Rest Area in Saratoga County, 20 miles north of Albany.
“There are also minyanim for mincha and ma’ariv during the
days of Chol Hamoed,” Rabbi Freilich said. “This service will be a great
benefit to the crowds traveling between Montreal and the Tri-State Area.
