A Spring Valley resident was shot dead in the Bronx last Wednesday at around 3:40 pm, while on his way to claim a purchase he made on the Facebook Marketplace.

The victim, Jefferson Jimenez Hernandez, 20, was found unconscious with bullet wounds on his head, NYPD said.

He was quickly transported to NYC Health and Hospitals where he was pronounced dead.

According to NYPD officials, Hernandez drove down from Rockland County with three other men to buy a Kawasaki motorcycle they found on Facebook Marketplace when something went wrong and he was shot.

Today, the police arrested Manuel Reyes, 23, of the Bronx, and charged him with numerous crimes including murder.
