Skverer Rebbe to Celebrate Grandchild’s Wedding in Monsey

Next week Wednesday, the Skverer Rebbe will celebrate the wedding of his granddaughter. But this simcha will mark a historic milestone as it is the first wedding in the court to be celebrated outside the Skver shtetl. 

The kallah is the daughter of Rav Yaakov Yosef Hager, a son of the Viznitzer Rebbe of Monsey, and a son-in-law of the Skverer Rebbe. He had resided in Skver, until his father assumed the leadership of the chassidus, following the passing of his father, the previous Viznitzer Rebbe. 

Thus, the wedding will take place in Monsey, in the court of Viznitz—with the participation, of course, of the Skverer Rebbe and his chassidim. 

The chosson is Avrohom Dovid Eichenstein, a son of the Zidichoiver Rov of Baltimore, and grandson of the Zidichoiver Rebbe of Chicago.
