Skverer Rebbe Gives Bracha to Village's New Shuttle Service

Skverer Rebbe Gives Bracha to Village's New Shuttle Service

by M.C. Millman

The Village of New Square's new Tremp shuttle bus service is expected to launch next week now that the Skverer Rebbe has given his bracha to the operation after a bus was brought to the Rebbe's house.

As reported previously by Rockland Daily here, four new Tremp shuttles will operate from morning to night during the week. The shuttle is expected to cut down on traffic and alleviate parking issues.

Additionally, as the majority of Village residents don't drive, walking from one corner of the rapidly expanding Village to the next can be a very long distance. The shuttle service will help all types and ages of residents, including mothers with young children and seniors.

"A service like this was long overdue," Mayor Izzy Spitzer shares exclusively with Rockland Daily. "It's an idea whose time has come, and we are very grateful for it."

The Village plans to expand the shuttle services as time goes on to serve even more residents and other areas by branching out to add additional routes and buses.
