Senator Weber and 42 Other Elected Leaders Sign Letter Urging Governor Hochul to Shut Down Antisemitism on College Campuses

Rockland Daily Staff
Rockland County's Senator Bill Weber and forty-two other New York elected officials at the State and City level have signed a letter urging Governor Hochul to collaborate with university leaders and the U.S. Department of Justice to shut down antisemitism on college campuses.
The elected representatives are requesting that hate groups such as SJP with chapters in New York, who are explicitly endorsing violence and chant slogans from the Hamas Charter, promoting the annihilation of the Jewish people, be investigated and dealt with appropriately.
Last week, Senator Weber introduced legislation that prohibits the granting of tuition assistance awards to any student who has knowingly engaged in certain Antisemitic activities as reported by Rockland Daily here.
