Scheiner Family to Donate Sefer Torah in Honor of Sephardic Minyan in Memory of Rav Ovadiah Yosef Zt'l

Khal Ohr Chaim-Scheiner’s is the brainchild of R’ Lazer Scheiner of Monsey and welcomes Yidden of all stripes at all hours of the day and night. Every day at Vasikin, there is a Sephardic minyan, among numerous other minyanim.

This Sunday, the Scheiner family will dedicate a sefer Torah they have written l’iluy nishmas the great ga’on and posek, Rav Ovadiah Yosef, zt”l. It is a Sephardic style and will be used by the Sephardic minyan.

The Torah will be completed at the Scheiner home at noon, and it will be paraded toward the iconic 18 Forshay Road at 1:00 p.m. amid song and dance, with the participation of Rabbonim and community leaders.
