Save a Life: Free Stop the Bleed Training

M.C. Millman

Knowing how to stop bleeding can help save lives, which is why Rockland County EMS Training Academy is offering free community training classes on the subject.

"Stop the Bleed" is a program developed for people to learn basic techniques to control and stop life-threatening bleeding. This training is essential for everyone to learn. It can help in any bleeding emergency, not just an active shooter scenario.

Multiple classes will be offered at no charge throughout the day on Sunday, November 12, at the Rockland County EMS Training Academy at 35 Firemen's Memorial Drive in Pomona.

The training takes one hour, and participants will receive a Stop the Bleed certificate indicating they completed the course. Class size is limited and reserved on a first-come, first-served basis, so it is important to register here as early as possible.
