Rockland Responds: Town of Ramapo Street Lighting Department Responds to Question Regarding Street Light With No Tags

Hi There,

I live on Witzel Court in Monsey. We have a street light in need of repair; however, it has no tag or light number to indicate its location. I live in a condo development, and I have reached out to the management office to get the tag number or whichever number it is to be able to ask for service for the street light; however, they couldn't get me that number stating that it should be indicated on the light pole, which it isn't.

Is there any way to request this repair without the tag number, just by indicating the location? It is on Witzel Court, all the way up the block to the cul de sac, in the upper right-hand corner. It's actually the only light pole on the cul de sac, so it shouldn't be hard to find. It would sincerely help us since it really sheds light on the entire cul de sac. Is it also possible to ask for LED lighting to be installed in it while repaired?

I would sincerely appreciate your attention to this matter.

Sincerely

Malky G.

Hi

The light in question has underground wiring. Orange & Rockland is in charge of repairs for it. We will report it on our end, but I always advise residents to call it in as well.

We will also request a brighter light due to insufficient lighting on the block.

Sincerely,

Town of Ramapo Street Lighting Department
