Rockland County Signs Resolution Approving NYSDHSES Grant Funds

Rockland County Office of Fire & Emergency Services Director Chris Kear joined Rockland County Executive Ed Day last week in signing a resolution approving the disbursement of grant funds from the New York State Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Services.

The Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) system will receive $167,700 to reimburse the County's enhanced 9-1-1 operating expenses.

Another $180,000 will be utilized to provide the County assistance in updating its Multi-Jurisdictional Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan.
