Rockland County Participates in Operation Green Light Honoring Veterans

Rockland Daily Staff

In tribute to veterans, the County of Rockland‘s Allison Paris Building in New City and Building A in the Pomona Health Complex off Route 45 will remain lit green through November 13 to show support for Operation Green Light.

Operation Green Light is an endeavor that shows support for veterans of all military conflicts. It also serves to raise awareness of the unique challenges faced by many veterans and their families and illuminates the resources available at the County, State, and Federal levels to assist veterans and families by shining a green light. The County of Rockland joins the effort to demonstrate that veterans are seen, appreciated, and supported.

”We thank all her veterans for something often taken for granted - our freedom,” says County Executive Ed Day. “ For all who chose to serve and protect our liberties, we hope our participation in Operation Green Light serves as a reminder that we do not take your sacrifice lightly.”

The Joseph P. Dwyer Veteran Peer Support Group is giving away free green light bulbs to those who wish to participate in Operation Green Light. Rockland residents can pick up the free bulbs at BRIDGES located in the Palisades Center on the second floor.
