Rockland County Legislature Adopt Property Tax Cuts For 2025

By Idy Perl

County Executive Ed Day, Minority Leader Lon Hofstein, and Budget & Finance Committee Chairman Legislator Aron Wieder announced the adoption of the second consecutive 2% County Property Tax Cut, set to go into effect in 2025 as part of the new budget.  This remarkable achievement builds on two years of zero increases to County Property Taxes in 2022 and 2023.

"I'm proud that we made history by passing two consecutive budgets that include tax cuts," Legislator Aron Wieder told Rockland Daily. "This is a first for Rockland County, and it’s the result of our collective effort to ensure that residents can keep more of their hard-earned money."
