Rockland County Askanim Endorse Local Candidates

Over 30 local askanim and community leaders have come together to endorse candidates for Tuesday's local elections. 

The askanim have released a statement that endorses Aron Wieder, Mike Lawler, and Elijah Melnick. The statement addresses the fact that most frum Yidden in Rockland County are Republicans, but the askanim ask local voters to vote for these Democratic candidates nonetheless. 

They explain that without the proper Democratic representation in Democratic-majority Albany, the hands of local politicians and askanim will be tied in regard to resolving many issues and concerns in the community.
