The Thiells Fire Department responded to a fire at a residence on Madison Avenue in Garnerville at around 5:48 this morning.

One firefighter required oxygen at the scene, while another firefighter was treated for an injury and transported by Haverstraw Ambulance.

The Stony Point Ambulance Corps was also at the scene to provide backup along with fire departments from West Haverstraw, Stony Point, Hillcrest, Haverstraw, New City, Nanuet, and Spring Valley.
