Repeat Car Thief Arrested for Second Time

On Tuesday,  September 13, a 19-year-old male was arrested by Suffern Police for possessing a stolen vehicle. He was expediently processed and released.

One hour later, the same individual stole a vehicle in Monsey. He was observed in the stolen vehicle by Clarkstown Police and managed to evade a second arrest.

He was next followed by Mahwah Police, but drove back to New York where he was arrested in Suffern after his vehicle became disabled.

The car thief was turned over to the Ramapo Police Investigations Division and charged with Grand Larceny, Criminal Mischief, and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. During the processing of the suspect, it was ascertained that he also had two open arrest warrants from New Jersey. He was arraigned in the Airmont Justice Court as a Fugitive from Justice and remanded to the Rockland County Jail.
