The Ramapo Police Department held its eighth annual breakfast and awards ceremony this morning during Police Week.

The breakfast, which took place at the Crowne Plaza in Suffern, was meant to recognize officers who have performed exceptionally.

"Today, the Ramapo Police Department held our annual awards breakfast to honor and acknowledge the many officers who went above and beyond in serving our residents this past year," Town of Ramapo Supervisor Michael Specht shares with Rockland Daily. "Officers received recognition for saving lives, arresting dangerous criminals, and taking illegal guns and drugs off the street. Their actions make all of us safer, and today was a day to appreciate their hard work and dedication. Congratulations to all who won awards today, and our thanks to Chief Reilly and the entire Department for their professionalism and service every day."

"I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the members of our police department," shares Town of Ramapo Cheif of Police Martin Reilly. "Whether you hold the position of a sworn officer, dispatcher or are part of our dedicated civilian staff, we extend our utmost appreciation for your commitment and the exceptional service you consistently offer to our community. Your steadfast dedication and contributions to this honorable profession is truly commendable. Take pride in the fact that you are making a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve. Congratulations to all who were recognized today."

"It was a great honor to attend the award ceremony this morning," Chaim Rose, Village of Chestnut Ridge Deputy Mayor, tells Rockland Daily. "The dedication and devotion the RPD has for the entire community is extremely appreciated. They are true public servants and deserve to be recognized. On behalf of the Village of Chestnut Ridge residents, we salute and honor them on this momentous occasion."
