Ramapo Police Department Cracks Down on Truck Drivers Illegally Using Side Streets

by M.C. Millman

After receiving ongoing complaints regarding trucks utilizing side streets as shortcuts disturbing residents, and jeopardizing pedestrian safety, the Ramapo Police Department is stepping up enforcement.

The police department gave ample and reasonable warnings to truck drivers violating posted signs. The warnings were delivered verbally, on social media, and message boards.

As the warnings did not prove effective, the Ramapo Police Department is now actively enforcing the regulations and ticketing truck drivers who ignore the signs about sizable vehicles being prohibited other than for local deliveries throughout the area.
