Police Rescue Tappan Zee Bridge Jumper in the Nick of Time

A person attempted to jump the Tappan zee Bridge this morning but was rescued by law enforcement.

The incident took place on the bridge in the Tarrytown area around 10 a.m., Friday, May 27.

The operation caused a long traffic delay northbound.

Among the responders called out were volunteers from the Central Nyack and Tarrytown fire Departments, the Marine Units from the Nyack and Piermont Fire Departments, the divers from the Thiells Fire Department, and more, Rockland Fires reported.
