Police Officer Eckert Honored for Service Upon His Retirement

After 28 years of faithful service to the Town of Ramapo Police Department and the Ramapo residents, Police Officer David Eckert made his final walkout from the Town of Ramapo police station on Wednesday, September 21.

Officer Eckert, a former U.S. Marine, was thanked for his nearly three decades of service to Ramapo. He was presented with a certificate of merit by Supervisor Michael Specht and Deputy Supervisor Brendel Logan-Charles. Captain Michael Colbath presented Police Officer Eckert with a plaque of honor for his years of service to his country and the Town of Ramapo. Captain Daniel Hyman officiated the walkout, during which he shared some history from Eckert's 28 years with the Town of Ramapo Police.
