Police Conduct Random Traffic Details on the Palisades

The New York State Police Haverstraw (Troop F), along with the Rockland County Sheriff's Office and the New York State Park Police continue to conduct random traffic details on the Palisades Interstate Parkway.
The purpose of these details is to reduce the number of traffic accidents on the parkway.
In 2022, there were more than 1,000 accidents on the Palisades. To date there, there have been 735 accidents so far this year.
From Tuesday, November 14, through Thursday, November 16, 138 tickets were issued,. One hundred and three of those tickets were for speeding.
