Pair Arrested for Cab Driver Robberies

Two Spring Valley residents were charged with felony first-degree robbery after teaming up to rob a cab driver on Saturday and then going it alone to rob another cab driver Sunday.
The robberies took place in Hillcrest.
The first theft committed by the nineteen and twenty-year-old took place at 3:10 on Saturday morning. The victim was grabbed by the neck and shown a knife before he was relieved of his money.
On Sunday, at 1:45 a.m., the 20-year-old robbed a second cab driver also at knifepoint.
The pair were arraigned in Ramapo Town Court. Bail was $10,000 for the 20-year-old for the first robbery and an additional $10,000 bail for the second robbery. The nineteen-year-olds bail was set at $7,500.
