Owner of Westchester Tile Store Purchases Nyack Buildings

by Rockland Daily Staff

Leon Vedovato of Scarsdale-based Westchester Tile & Marble purchased mixed-use buildings in Nyack for $1.9 million.

The buildings, located at 40-42 South Franklin Street, are on 0.05 acres on the southwest corner of Depew & South Franklin.

According to the Rockland County Business Journal, the current tenants, Corner Frame Shop and Hudson Spectacles have leases in place to remain at their locations. There are also residential apartments above the retail space, including studios and larger units ranging from $1000- to $2200 per month.

Vedovato clarified that the purchase was intended as a real estate investment, not a location for his tile and marble shop.

The property was originally listed for $2,095,000. Dreisam, Inc., the seller, purchased the property for $430,000 in 2002.
