Outgoing Rockland County Legislators Honored

Last night, seven outgoing Rockland County legislators were honored for their service.

Honorees included long-term Legislators Harriet Cornell (39 years) and Michael Grant (18 years), as well as Christopher Carey, Vincent Tyer, Laurie Santulli, James Foley, and Charles Falciglia. The evening set a record for the most legislators ever to leave at one time. 

"I want to thank the outgoing legislators for their service to Rockland County," Rockland County Legislator Itamar Yeger shares with Rockland Daily. "I particularly would like to thank both Harriet Cornell and Michael Grant for the myriad hours of time and all the energy they put into making our great County a better place for all residents."

"It is with great appreciation that we honor these seven legislators for serving the community with such ardor," Rockland County Legislator Aron Wieder tells Rockland Daily. "Public service is often a thankless job, but that doesn't take away from how meaningful it is to serve the greater good. Being able to honor legislators for their service is especially poignant when it comes to long-term legislators like Harriet Cornell and Michael Grant, who have served the community for so long and so well. I wish them only the best in their future endeavors."
