Once in a Blue Moon Is Tomorrow as Rare Blue Supermoon Rises Over New York

M.C. Millman
Sky gazers will be able to take in a rare blue supermoon expected to rise on Wednesday, August 30, over New York skies.
The rare phenomenon, as reported by Rockland Daily here is the second full moon this month after the full Sturgeon Moon that rose to grace Rockland skies on August 1.
The last time two full supermoons appeared during the same month was in 2018. The experience won't repeat itself until 2037. The second full moon in the same calendar month that contains two full moons is termed a Blue Moon.
Binoculars or backyard telescopes trained on the moon will enhance the experience if the skies are clear on those nights.
