Old Nyack Turnpike Condo Groundbreaking

Rockland Daily Staff

Buildings and trees are being torn down and cleared to build new condominium units on the .95 acre, a four-lot subdivision at 15-17-19-21 Old Nyack Turnpike in Monsey.

According to Rockland County Business Journal, the project's mortgage financing and building construction loan total $5.06 million, provided to Old Nyack Estates, LLC, by Northeast Community Bank of White Plains, NY.

The Rockland County Planning Department described the redevelopment plan to construct eight condominium units as "gross overutilization of the site" in 2021. The site has R-15A zoning, which allows for single and two-family detached residences. Rockland County Business Journal reports that multiple variances were granted in 2020 for maximum development coverage, lot area, lot width, front setback, front yard, rear setback, street frontage, and floor area ratio.
