O&R Crews on High Alert Due to Strong Winds

Orange & Rockland company and contractor overhead line crews and tree removal experts, customer service operators, and other O&R emergency response personnel have been activated and deployed for storm duty restoring electricity due to the strong gusty winds sweeping the region. 

Since Monday night, O&R crews have restored electric service to approximately 5,800 customers who temporarily lost power.

Locals who spot a downed wire should presume it is live and should not touch it. Instead, call O&R at 1-877-434-4100 and the police department so they can divert traffic from the downed wire’s location until an O&R crew arrives.
