New York State Police Urge Drivers to Move Over for Emergency Vehicles

Last night, a police trooper running stationary radar was rear-ended while his patrol vehicle was parked along the side of the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge.
The injured New York State Trooper was treated for minor injuries in the hospital and released.
"Incidents like this are happening far too often to many people," New York State police wrote on their Facebook page. The post continued by urging all drivers to pay attention, slow down and move over whenever possible when approaching emergency and maintenance vehicles or motorists stopped on the side of the road.
