New Academic Monitor Announced for ERCSD

The East Ramapo Central School District has been assigned a new monitor whose contract began July 1. 

Shelley Jallow, previously Rochester school district's state-appointed monitor, has taken on the new position. She takes over the job vacated by Mary Fox-Alter, who became the ERCSD's academic monitor in 2022.

The appointment was announced by New York State Education Commissioner Betty Rosa and will be made official at the next East Ramapo school board meeting on Thursday, July 6. Jallow's appointment presently runs until June 30, 2025.
