Nanuet Apple Store Target of $20,000 Mid-Day Larceny

By M. C. Millman
This afternoon, shortly after two p.m., a gang of three working in tandem targeted the Apple Store in Nanuet, ripping display items from the security cables on the wall and grabbing other electronics before fleeing the scene.
Rockland Daily spoke with the Clarkstown Police Department, who confirmed that over twenty items ranging from iPhones to iPads and MacBooks with an estimated value of over $20,000 were stolen.
The thieves, ranging from teens to early twenties, fled the store on foot, according to Clarkstown police.
Shortly after the heist, two bookbags filled with electronics were located on the side of the road on Route 59 between N. Middletown and College Road a few blocks from the store. Police are presuming the contents were proceeds from the robbery due to the proximity to the Apple Store and the timing.
Anyone with any information on the heist can contact the Clarkstown Police Department at 845-639-5800.
