Montefiore Nyack Hospital Builds Massive Parking Garage for Patients, Visitors, and Staff

Montefiore Nyack Hospital is constructing an approximately 27,300 square foot multi-level parking garage, which will significantly increase patient, visitor, and staff parking access.

The garage on the former visitor’s lot on the south side of the campus will mitigate off-site parking in the surrounding neighborhood while providing increased safety and access for those entering the hospital. 

Approximately 441 parking spaces include dedicated areas for electric vehicles, accessible parking, and a covered area for bicycles. The site also has an expanded drop-off area, multi-vehicle two-lane entry and exit lanes, state-of-the-art access control and payment system, comprehensive security cameras, and an improved parking surface.

The structure incorporates many locally-sourced materials, natural colors, and native stone that blend with the existing hospital. It includes visibility screens to help reduce residential views of the parking decks, parked vehicles, and interior structure lighting. The garage has been set back from the adjacent roads with rain gardens and landscaping to provide additional buffers to the neighborhood.
