Monsey Furniture Establishment to Replace Shuttered Diner in Suffern/Airmont Area

By: Rockland Daily Staff

For four decades, the (non-kosher) Airmont Diner has stood at the 210 Route 59 in Suffern. This weekend, the Hudson Valley Post announced its permanent closure, greatly saddening its patrons of so many years.

“A "landmark" diner in the Hudson Valley has served its last customer. The Airmont Diner in Rockland County is closed for good. The diner's owner, Dino confirmed the rumors on Facebook. ‘To All Our Friends. Yes, it is true that we are closed for good. We will miss each and every one of you. Our best wishes to you and your families,’ Dino wrote.”

Meanwhile, Furniture Village, which has stood at 22 Main Street for many years, has announced that it will be moving its showroom to the now-vacant premises of Airmont Diner, after the property will undergo an extensive renovation to serve a growing community in the Rockland County Area.
