Mega Millions Jackpot Grows to $810M, Fourth Largest Prize in Nation

The Mega Millions grand prize has grown to $810 million, which is presently one of the nation's largest prizes. 

There were 28 consecutive drawings over the last three months, but no player has yet been able to match all six numbers to win the jackpot since the drawings began at $20 million in April. The next drawing will take place on Tuesday, July 26. 

The  $810 million prize is pre-tax and would be the amount paid to the winner who opts to take the annuity option of 30 annual payments. There is also a one-time cash option, which would be  $470.1 million.

Mega Millions is played in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. State lottery officials are in charge of overseeing the game.
