A seventy-year-old suffered from a medical episode at Lake Welch at Harriman State Park and died Monday. 

The man was standing in the lake around 1 pm when a nearby lifeguard noticed him kneeling. He was conscious at first and attended by a group of lifeguards until paramedics arrived. He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was tragically dead.
