Kiddush Hashem: Rockland Family Shows Kindness Toward Mailman

by M. C. Millman

As the ongoing heatwave continues, Rabbi Yisroel Kahan, Member of the Rockland Government Human Rights Commission, and Assistant to the Spring Valley Mayor & Police Commissioner, shared a tweet offering his own suggestion for demonstrating hakaras hatov and passing on the midah to the next generation.

"With temperatures nearing triple digits, our children put out a bottle ice-cold water along with a letter of appreciation to our USPS Mailman. If you are expecting a delivery, please be considerate of the courier's dedication," Kahan tweeted.

"We've been doing it for a while," Rabbi Kahan shared with Rockland Daily, "anytime it's hot - the upper 80's or 90's."
