JetBlue Plans to Drop Some Westchester Flights

By Rockland Daily Staff
JetBlue plans to cut routes from Westchester County Airport (HPN).
JetBlue flights between HPN to Martha's Vineyard are being cut in addition to some cross-country routes from JFK, leaving the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport altogether. At the same time, JetBlue also plans to add service to the Caribbean and Paris.
JetBlue says that the cuts are not a direct result of the judge blocking the planned merger with Spirit Airlines.
"The changes we are announcing today have been in the works for nearly a month—long before we got the court's decision on our acquisition of Spirit Airlines," the airline said in a statement to The Point Guy - a frequent flyer site.
