Intuitive Bochurim Connect the Dots When Would-Be Window Washer Is Found Wandering Yeshiva Dorm

By Mindy Cohn

Yesterday, a man posing as a window washer was arrested in Monsey after stealing from a yeshiva dormitory on Viola Road.

Two bochurim going into their dormitory around 12:40 p.m. came across an unfamiliar black man walking around the dorm. As reported by Yeshiva World News, when the pair asked him what he was doing there, he said he was providing an estimate and produced a business card attesting to his job as a window washer.

Despite the business card, the bochurim asked the man to leave. He did leave, but he first threatened to harm the pair if the police were called on him. When the boys noticed several valuables were missing from their dorm, the police were called anyway.

The boys produced the man's business card, and the suspect was called at the number listed and asked to come to a nearby address to give an estimate for window washing.

After being confronted by Ramapo Police officers, the thief confessed to the robbery and was arrested.

All of the items stolen from the dorm were recovered and returned.
