ICE Officers Search For Illegal Immigrant In Monsey

By Idy Perl
As raids to deport illegal immigrants sweep the country, ERO, or Enforcement and Removal Operations officers from ICE, were spotted at a warehouse in Monsey earlier today.
Rockland Daily spoke with the warehouse manager, who confirmed that several ERO officers visited the site and were searching for a specific individual. The officers didn't find the person they were looking for and left the premises without arresting anyone.
Although deportations of illegal immigrants were regularly happening under Biden, the raids now are being publicized by ICE and Trump's administration and are happening on a larger scale. In the days after Trump took office, ICE arrested 600-1,100 illegal immigrants every day, an increase from the daily arrest rate under Biden, which was around 300.
