Heavy Rainstorm to Affect Rockland Thursday Night Overnight

By: Yaker Biegeleisen
The storm that we have been watching all week is barreling eastward toward our area, with Rockland expected to be hit with rain and wind Thursday night into Friday morning.
The National Weather Service issued the following statement Wednesday morning. “There have been no changes to the hazards, but the forecast winds and wind gusts have increased across the whole area.”
Wind gusts during the storm are expected to reach up to 55 MPH!
There will likely be flooding from the excessive rain, with hazardous flooding in some areas.
Following the storm, it will turn sharply colder for Friday and Shabbos. We will update you with further details on the weekend weather.
