Hatzoloh of Rockland County Shares Urgent Safety Message Regarding Electric Bikes and Scooters
by Rockland Daily Staff
The rise in popularity of electric bikes and scooters poses a significant danger to riders and those on the road.
Hatzoloh of Rockland County released an announcement to warn the community and create awareness of the dangers.
Hatzoloh reports seeing a recent uptick in severe injuries from accidents involving electric bikes and scooters, responding to many serious accidents these past few weeks alone.
Electric bikes and scooters allow for higher speed capabilities for riders. This increases the likelihood of serious injuries or even death due to collisions. A recent study comparing accidents on regular bicycles to electric bikes found that patients on electric bikes had a higher incidence of moderate traumatic brain injuries.
Hatzoloh asks all parents to "think twice before sending out their precious children these bikes and scooters".
