Greenbaums Pharmacy in Monsey Burglarized for Second Time in Five Months

By M. C. Millman

Greenbaum’s Pharmacy was robbed at 5:00 a.m. this morning; the second robbery in a little over five months for the iconic pharmacy located at 42 Main St in Monsey.

The pharmacy suffered a similarly traumatic event on March 31 of this year. At that time, the thieves were caught on video from start to finish.

In this morning's robbery, the thieves arrived in a white sedan with Massachusetts plates. As they had a lookout to ensure the coast was clear, the thieves managed to flee the scene seconds before Rockland Chaverim and Ramapo police officers arrived. The plates on the vehicle are registered to a white Ford F-150.

The thieves, whom the police believe are part of a known gang, set off the alarm as they broke into the store. They were gone by 5:06, and the first police officer was on the scene ten seconds later.

The gang members were only after the prescription drugs and left the register completely untouched.
