Garbage Truck Strikes Woman, as She Tries to Cross Division Avenue

A garbage truck hit a woman who was crossing Division Avenue, near Route 45, which remains closed as Spring Valley police investigate the crash that took place shortly after 9am.

The woman, whose identity has not yet been released from the Spring Valley Police Department, was seriously injured and is critical condition at Westchester Medical Center.

The Spring Hill Community Ambulance Corps and Spring Valley Police Department were called to the scene of the accident on S. Main St and Division Ave, Rockland Fires reported.

In addition, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation was called to the accident.
