Former Haverstraw Deputy Mayor Pleads Guilty to Grand Larceny

Emily Dominguez, former Village of Haverstraw deputy mayor, pleaded guilty to grand larceny charges last week.

Dominguez, 51, her sister, Janice, 56, and Luz Marina Gutierrez, their 84-year-old mother, admitted guilt for stealing funds and donations from the Rockland Community Foundation, a nonprofit organization that Emily Dominguez oversaw as a board member and former president. The stolen funds amounted to more than $11,000.

The sentencing for the sisters will take place in January, while the mother is expected back in court next month.
