Five Suspects Arrested after Shooting Shakes up Residence of New City, NY

Four Brooklyn men and a minor were taken into custody after gunshots rang out on Turnberry Court in Clarkstown, a New City neighborhood, around 1:45 p.m. Saturday, Clarkstown police said in a statement.

Clarkstown Police department responded to the reports of gunshots and witnessed a black Mercedes fleeing an Airbnb rented home at high speed when they arrived at the scene. The chase ended when the car hit a utility pole.

The five suspects escaped the vehicle and attempted to flee, scattering on foot throughout the neighborhood. One suspect broke into a home trying to elude the officers but the Clarkstown Police Dept., with the assistance of Rockland County Sheriff’s Dept., apprehended all five suspects and recovered the four handguns.

Armani Miller, 24; Ivor Minott, 19; Garron White, 18; and Daquan Young, 18, were charged with several crimes including attempted second-degree murder and first-degree reckless endangerment.

The fifth suspect — a minor — was charged in Haverstraw Town Court, police said.
