By: Yitzy Fried

Firefighters from Spring Valley, Monsey, Pearl River, Nanuet, and Tallman FD are on the scene of a fire at a steakhouse that was set to open in the coming days in the Chestnut Ridge area of Rockland.

At about 10:00 this morning, a fire broke out in the attic of the building at 800 Chestnut Ridge Road, which was meant to house the newest venture by Chef Zach Hess, Dolcetto Steakhouse.

Firefighters successfully battled the blaze, but there was water damage to the restaurant.

It is unclear whether this unfortunate event will delay the grand opening which is slated to take place in the coming days.
