Emergency Responders Extricate an Injured Party From Beneath Bridge Overpass in Spring Valley

Firefighters and EMS were dispatched to the scene last night around 11:15 to assist with a suicidal person who had jumped off the bridge at Route 59 and Dutch Lane in Spring Valley.
The injured individual needed to be extricated from beneath the overpass.
Spring Hill Ambulance Corp together with the Hillcrest Fire Department and the Spring Valley Police Department worked together and were able to administer emergency medical care in a timely fashion. Spring Hill Ambulance deployed its special operations unit, equipped with a trailer and a gator, which was utilized to bring equipment to the team who were assisting the patient. He was safely extricated from the scene and was transported to Westchester Medical Center.
After the call, Spring Hill hosted a debriefing for all the members on the scene. Members were invited to speak about the call and discuss how the organization can improve for future emergencies.
